Mechanical Designer Opportunity
Do you have a passion for creating complex mechanical systems? Join our growing engineering team! Selectek has a contract-to-hire opportunity in Hampton, GA for a talented Mechanical Designer to play a key role in developing high-voltage switchgear products. You'll leverage your strong mechanical background and design skills to create detailed drawings and bills of material that ensure product functionality and smooth assembly. Responsibilities:
Design and draft detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for switchgear components. Generate comprehensive bills of material for assemblies and sub-assemblies. Collaborate with engineers to review and process production orders. Perform electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations to support design decisions. Implement design changes assigned by senior engineers, considering technical implications. Assist with erecting switchgear products for testing purposes (optional). Process orders and drawings related to engineering services (optional). Qualifications:
Associate of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) 1+ years of experience in mechanical design Proficiency in SolidWorks (highly preferred) Strong understanding of mechanical principles and applications Proficiency in AutoCAD Benefits of Joining Us:
