Content Creator Position

Our client, a large nonprofit organization, is currently looking for a freelance Content Creator to support their digital marketing team. This role is 15-20 hours per week, ongoing. Must be able to work during business hours and local to NYC for potential onsite work. This role is remote but you must be willing to come to their NY office as needed. An assessment will be given as part of the interview process. Your focus will be creating compelling, mission-driven content that resonates with the organization's audiences and supports their digital marketing goals. You'll produce high-quality digital content for a range of platforms but primarily paid media. The ideal candidate will be an excellent storyteller with a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should be passionate about making a positive social impact and be committed to producing content that aligns with the organization's brand and values and that resonates with a diverse audience. Key Responsibilities

- Create visually compelling static and animated digital display ads for various online platforms that effectively communicate our messaging and calls to action. - Develop engaging videos for ads on social media, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, ensuring alignment with our digital marketing strategies. - Collaborate with design teams or use design tools to produce visually impactful graphics, banners, and digital assets. - Craft compelling messaging that reflects our organization's mission, values, and programs while optimizing for user engagement. - Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas for upcoming initiatives and campaigns. - Collaborate with brand team, digital channel managers, and other internal stakeholders to develop content calendars, aligning messaging with campaign timelines and goals. - Stay informed on trends in nonprofit digital marketing and content strategy, bringing fresh ideas to the table for content development. - Continuously adjust content strategies based on data-driven insights to maximize impact. Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in digital content creation, preferably in a nonprofit or social impact environment. - Strong communicator, who understands how the written word and visuals/animation work together to reinforce messaging. - Proven track record of producing engaging content for digital platforms (paid media, websites). - Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere). - Comfortable with AI-based tools to assist in brainstorming and content development. - Ability to create content for diverse audiences, including donors, volunteers, and community members. - Self-motivated and proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
