Strata-G is seeking an experienced Energy Auditor with the following: Summary: An experienced Energy Auditor is needed to join the team. The selected candidate will perform energy and water audits, identify energy conservation measures (ECMs), and assess their financial viability using lifecycle cost analysis. This role requires expertise in ASHRAE auditing, with a focus on Level 2 audits, and knowledge of federal facility requirements under EISA 432. Responsibilities: Perform energy and water audits for various facilities, including those subject to EISA 432 requirements. Conduct ASHRAE Level 2 audits to analyze building energy performance in detail, including system operation and operational strategies. Identify, quantify, and prioritize Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for various building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, building envelope). Develop Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) for proposed ECMs to evaluate their long-term economic benefits and cost-effectiveness. Utilize tools such as the DOE Building Life Cycle Cost (BLCC) Programs to perform economic analyses for alternative building designs and efficiency projects, especially for federal projects. Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, estimated costs and savings, and payback periods. Present audit results and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations (including EISA 432 requirements), and emerging technologies related to energy efficiency. Ensure compliance with EISA 432 requirements for federal facility energy and water evaluations and reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy preferred), Environmental Science, or a related field. Proven experience in conducting energy audits, with a strong emphasis on ASHRAE auditing (specifically Level 2). Knowledge of EISA 432 requirements for federal facility energy and water evaluations. Experience with Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and developing Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCE). Familiarity with the DOE Building Life Cycle Cost (BLCC) Programs. Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.) and energy efficiency technologies. Proficiency in energy modeling software and data analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification such as Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP). Experience with building benchmarking tools like ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Experience working with federal facilities and adhering to EISA 432 regulations. Work Environment: This position may involve travel to client sites for on-site inspections and data collection.
