We're looking for an experienced and driven MEP Project Manager to lead the planning, management, and successful delivery of mechanical, piping, and plumbing projects. In this role, you'll coordinate high-profile work, collaborate with clients to define project scopes, manage budgets and schedules, and oversee procurement and resource planning. You'll be the key link between customers and the project teamensuring strong communication, smooth execution, and outstanding results. Note: This is an in-office role (minimum 4 days/week) with regular visits to job sites required. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and company team members, demonstrating humility and valuing team contributions. Participate in in-person sales-to-operations turnover meetings to understand project estimates and generate RFIs as needed. Coordinate and lead in-person project kickoff meetings, distributing critical data to field and office staff involved in the project, ensuring clear and effective communication. Review contract documents, making necessary suggestions/modifications to align with the project scope and protect company interests, using common sense and practical intelligence. Set up job accounts with strategic vendors and procure all equipment to secure preferred pricing for the project duration, demonstrating resourcefulness and initiative. Drive the pre-construction process (submittals, detailing, man-loading charts, material procurement, etc.) with the support of the project team, showing a proactive approach. Visit job sites at least once a week to meet with foremen, evaluate progress, address customer concerns, and resolve scheduling/material issues, demonstrating commitment and accountability. Attend weekly foreman meetings as needed to provide support, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Maintain accurate project man-loading charts and detailed three-week look-aheads with field assistance to track job progress, ensuring effective planning and foresight. Generate notices or adjust schedules as needed to maximize profitability and reduce margin erosion while maintaining efficiency, showing a results-oriented mindset. Manage subcontractor costs and schedules to meet project timelines and standards. Participate in all schedule and management MEP meetings to monitor and manage project costs, showing a proactive approach to cost control. Conduct detailed monthly job cost analyses, detailing the financial standing of the project relative to estimates, and address any scope creep or margin erosion, showing financial acumen. Supervise and mentor subordinates, fostering a team that shares common goals and values, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to team development. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of MEP experience as a Project Manager/Project Engineer or equivalent. BS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity simultaneously. Proficiency in explaining the financial health of a project. Capability to drive the design-build process.
