Field Layout Engineer

The Field Layout Engineer is integral to the success of our construction projects, offering expertise in site layout, maintaining precise survey controls, and managing critical project documentation. This role involves active participation in construction planning, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Working directly on dynamic job sites, you will collaborate closely with team members to ensure exceptional project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform precise site layout and manage construction planning to ensure project accuracy. Execute and maintain horizontal and vertical survey control using advanced tools such as GPS, levels, and total stations. Monitor and maintain project safety and quality standards at all times. Organize and oversee project documentation, including survey notes, correspondence, submittals, and RFIs. Deliver weekly as-built reports on all completed work. Collaborate with the site Foreman/Superintendent to ensure project specifications are met. Assist in formwork and falsework design if qualifications align. Maintain all issued survey equipment and electronics. Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications. Strong ability in geometrical and mathematical calculations. Expertise in surveying tools and site layout processes. Solid knowledge of basic computer systems and software. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel frequently. Physical capability to work outdoors in all conditions, climb heights, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring regular travel to project locations across the U.S.
