Who are we looking for? GHD is seeking a Field Geologist to work with our Contaminated Assessment Remediation (CAR) group based out of our Indianapolis (Fishers), Indiana office. Conduct research or perform evaluations of a geological or hydrogeological nature. Create technical reports to inform proposals, budgets, support environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance for civil infrastructure projects or projects to address environmental challenges. Using knowledge of various scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of soil, water, and other sources. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Insights and Reporting:

Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports. Solutions Analysis:

Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations:

Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data. Health, Safety, and Environment:

Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate. Personal Capability Building:

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Community of Practice Management:

Participate in a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to begin to build own expertise. Mineral Reserves and Resource Assessment:

Coordinate a range of complex mineral assessment operations, focusing on both quantity and quality of deposits. Exploration Plan Development:

Provide the design of exploration programs, including risk assessment and budgeting. Data Collection and Analysis:

Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Preparation:

Gather information and resources, and draft and complete standard requests for bid solicitation requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for tender (RFT) on the requester side. Simulation and Modeling:

Deliver the design and execution process of increasingly complex simulations or models, ensuring accurate and relevant output. Client & Customer Management (External):

Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. Sampling and Testing:

Collect a range of samples for laboratory testing and undertake testing in accordance with statutory frameworks and best practice to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Project Management:

Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. What you will bring to the team Education Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Soil Science, or similar Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus Experience General Experience:
