Radio Frequency Engineer/Analyst

The Strategic Mission Assessments team within Strategy & Business Development is looking for a radio frequency (RF) engineer/analyst to tackle complex mission analysis problems in support of future space architectures. In this position, you will support development of RF mission analysis tools and algorithms, perform link budget and geolocation analyses for satellite payloads, and optimize the design of next generation system-of-system architectures. As a member of the team, you will leverage a broad knowledge base to bring new ideas and analyses to proposals, studies, trades, and programs to facilitate new business for Lockheed Martin. An ideal candidate will possess an RF engineering background, have an ability to and interest in learning skills outside of RF, be willing to think outside the box, and be skilled at analysis and creatively solving hard problems. Successful candidates in this position generally have 2-5 years of professional experience. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education. Familiar with RF principles and concepts such as link budget analysis. Familiar with programming and scripting using MATLAB, Python, or a similar high-level language. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Must have an active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance. Desired Skills
Experience with mission modeling and simulation tools, such as STK or AFSIM Experience with antenna design (feeds, reflectors, phased arrays, etc.) Experience with state estimation and/or geolocation analysis Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully between multiple engineering disciplines Strong communication and teamwork skills Active TS/SCI Clearance This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 - $140,530. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
