Part-time Dental Assistant Instructor
Join our team as a part-time Dental Assistant instructor, where you will inspire and prepare students for a successful career in dental assisting! In this role, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons covering essential topics, including: History of Dentistry/Dental Assisting Roles & Responsibilities of a Dental Assistant Legal Aspects of Dentistry Oral Anatomy Dental Equipment Radiography Responsibilities include preparing students for the Dental Assisting National Board Radiation Health and Safety exam, developing and administering course assessments, evaluating student progress, maintaining attendance and progress reports, and attending information sessions and recruiting events as needed. Compensation: $50/hour Minimum Qualifications: Experience in the field of Dental Assisting Dental Assisting National Board Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification preferred. Previous teaching experience highly desired Knowledge of Zoom or Microsoft Teams preferred. The Dental Assistant course meets two evenings each week. One evening is live online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams and the other evening session is on campus. Each course is 100 hours and is taught in the fall and spring semesters.
