ASIC FPGA Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an ASIC FPGA Engineer located in Scottsdale, AZ. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred. Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Technical Skills

Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals (logic gates, digital structures, finite state machines, timing analysis) Proficiency in HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog) through relevant coursework Familiarity with FPGA design tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Microchip Libero) Understanding of synthesis, place & route, and timing closure Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., ModelSim, QuestaSim) and testbench development Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash) for automation Exposure to embedded systems and processor integration (MicroBlaze, RISC-V, ARM) Knowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, AXI) Soft Skills & Additional Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Bachelor's degree or current major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively Eagerness to learn and adapt to new FPGA technologies and methodologies Hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, or personal FPGA development projects is a plus Salary Note
