Senior Construction Manager

We are hiring for a Senior Construction Manager to support our government customer based in Laurel, MD. This position is required to be onsite. This position will require an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Full Scope Polygraph. V2X seeks a results-driven individual with: Conducting construction inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes and generating reports. Reviewing shop drawings and submittals and providing the COTR with a recommendation for approval/disapproval. Notifying the Government in writing of non-compliant safety hazards and recommended corrective actions. Verifying completion of corrections and actions identified. Attending project meetings. Managing project design and/or construction efforts. Managing and evaluating construction contractor performance. Integrating and coordinating projects with field personnel. Evaluating, validating, and managing project change requests. Providing official weekly project status reports. Preparing and distributing project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders. Assisting the client's Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration. Assisting the CO and COTR with conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site visits. Providing invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment. Preparing and monitoring project schedules and budgets; providing technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction-related issues; directing design efforts; recommending construction documents for approval; and providing oversight of any follow-on maintenance programs. Optimizing performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements. Conducting design reviews with the customer. Ensuring timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into MAXIMO software project management tool. Ensuring integration of all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. Preparing Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout. Qualifications: Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in any field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years' work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement. Experience: Ten (10) years' of experience in construction management. Working Environment: U.S. citizenship is required. Work in an operationally sensitive environment. Work outdoors, in confined space, irregular schedule, working off-shift/rotating schedule, operation of motor vehicles, work in a noisy environment, work under unusual lighting conditions, work near sources of ionizing radiation, work near sources of non-ionizing radiation, headgear or head protection, safety glasses or eye protection, hearing protection, gloves or hand protection, safety shoes or protective foot gear. Operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer. Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more. Work well in team environments including demonstrate the ability to function independently with minimal supervision. May be required to successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview, and an extensive background investigation. May be required to undergo successful occupational testing to include an aptitude test, writing test, personality inventory, and interview.
