Commercial Manager
QinetiQ US is seeking a Commercial Manager to support the Defense Innovation Unit. The Commercial Manager will support the Defense Innovation Unit's Commercial Operations Engagement Team by conducting market research, vendor engagements, internal program support, and data management activities. This role is essential to enabling DIU's Commercial Engagement Efforts, with a particular focus on market diligence, vendor coordination, and portfolio tracking. Responsibilities include: maintaining and updating market maps, coordinating market diligence sessions, developing market diligence documentation, representing DIU during company informational calls, supporting senior commercial engagement leads, tracking and facilitating follow-up actions, maintaining familiarity with CommOps product and service offerings, providing ad hoc project support, supporting planning and execution of events, assisting senior commercial engagement staff, managing the intake and triage of new company submissions, logging company interactions and activity, evaluating Salesforce intake leads, providing data analysis, maintaining a reference library of DIU portfolio companies, supporting the capture and documentation of demand signals, and tracking and coordinating DIU's regional event participation. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management, strong communication and collaboration skills, experience working with budgets and financial management, and demonstrated ability to think creatively and implement innovative solutions. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the specific technology portfolio, working knowledge of the technical underpinnings, prior experience in the military and/or intelligence community, strong mission orientation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, strong analytical capabilities, experience in venture capital or early-stage investing, background in consulting or strategy, high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, and ability to take direction and demonstrate sound judgment.
