Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting full-cycle accounting functions across the organization. Under the direction of the Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager, and in collaboration with Senior Accountants, this role helps ensure accurate financial reporting, adherence to GAAP, and the maintenance of strong accounting controls and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Post daily bank transactions to the general ledger for assigned accounts Prepare timely monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with the preparation of financial statements Support month-end close activities including accruals, prepaid expense amortization, fixed asset depreciation, and variance analyses Deposit checks remotely and ensure proper documentation Assist with the preparation of audit schedules for quarterly reviews and year-end audits Research and resolve accounting issues, clarify discrepancies, and prepare supporting data Assist in documenting key accounting procedures for routine processes Ensure all responsibilities are completed accurately and in accordance with communicated schedules and deadlines Perform other duties as assigned Requirements:
Solid understanding of operational finance and U.S. GAAP Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills Effective oral and written communication skills Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight High integrity, accountability, and motivation Experience in the healthcare or healthcare technology industry is a plus Experience with NetSuite is preferred Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution (preferred) Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work hands-on with team members What We Value at WellStreet Urgent Care:
