Role Responsibilities: Protects assets and maintains integrity of the company using clandestine surveillance operations. Supervises and trains Surveillance Agents according to standard operating procedures. Observes and records any irregular activities as required. Recommends policy changes to the Director of Surveillance. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to JACK Casino Cleveland and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Must have a broad knowledge of games and casino rules, procedures and administration. Knowledge of the laws and regulations affecting the casino industry is required. Must be familiar with camera equipment and those methods of operation and recording as required. Must know those methods of cheating games, and other related activities. Must be able to identify those cheating methods and other irregular activities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be able to work independently. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours). Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well- groomed appearance. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Education & Experience Requirements: High School diploma/GED required 2 Years previous experience required Must possess excellent basic math skills. Must be able to successfully pass written and/or oral tests on a periodic basis, displaying knowledge of all facets of the Gaming Operation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. Must have the manual dexterity to operate the following equipment: Monitors, switches, computers, controllers and cameras. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to work and maneuver in close quarters. Must be able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerable CCTV screens. Must be able to see and also remember the specific details of incidents and persons. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, make rational decisions when handling guests' demands in a fast pace environment. Excellent vision (including peripheral) is needed to protect the games.
