Rothschild & Cos New York-based Industrials Group is looking for an experienced associate to work closely with a team of professionals to deliver advisory services to a range of clients, both domestic and international. Our small execution team structure creates an exceptional development platform for our associates who receive significant client responsibility, the opportunity to work intimately with senior team members and manage junior resources to collaborate and drive projects and processes. Responsibilities
Execute live deals in Industrials which may include sell/buy-side M&A, spin-offs, split-offs/carve-outs, LBOs, Debt Advisory and Equity Advisory processes Draft client pitches and marketing materials Overseeing and assisting financial modelling, valuation, comparable and relative value analyses and market-specific analysis, including three-statement integrated financial models and relevant valuation outputs/sensitivities Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative economic, industry and company research and analysis Spearhead analyses on a broad range of corporate finance transactions related to the review of strategic alternatives, optimization of the capital structure, acquisitions, mergers and equity and debt capital markets events Lead transaction execution processes, from preparation of marketing materials, organization and completion of due diligence, preparation of internal committee memoranda and coordination of internal and external resources Coordinate and execute due diligence processes with external advisors, including lawyers, accountants, and consultants Managing analysts and overseeing related work streams Actively participate in client meetings, industry conferences, and external training sessions Adhere to all compliance regulations and confidentiality policies Contribute to Rothschilds unique firm culture, and recruiting, training and development efforts Education and Qualifications
Graduate of a top tier Business School or Analyst promote Demonstrated excellence in academic coursework Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional work experience with a minimum of 1-2 years within a top tier corporate finance adviser/investment bank with prior M&A execution experience (Industrials experience preferred) Exceptional analytical, quantitative and communication skills Strong level of creativity and intellectual curiosity Strong interpersonal skills and ability to express ideas with impact Ability to work in a demanding environment while multi-tasking on time-sensitive projects Ability to analyze financial statements and related data to assess historical financial performance and determine the future outlook for client companies and prospects Strong financial modeling skills required; ability to build detailed, fully integrated financial models and financial projections in order to analyze the impact of proposed transaction options on the capital structure and cash flows Well organized and detail oriented with proven ability to work within tight time frames Team player, capable of working on cross-border deal teams Expected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $175,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and our Rothschild & Co employee benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
