Structural Analysis Engineer

BAE Systems is hiring structural analysis engineers to act as integral partners in interdisciplinary design teams. In this role, you will work with senior analysts, providing simulation support throughout the design and test phase of each program and presenting your analysis reports to internal teammates and external customers. Each analyst supports multiple programs, and the fast-paced nature of each program means that every day is new and exciting. As you learn and grow as an analyst, you will be part of the success of the programs that you are supporting. As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will: Perform transient non-linear stress analysis and structural evaluations using ABAQUS, HyperWorks and Matlab. Collaborate with customers and cross-disciplinary teams to develop and integrate models, algorithms, and tools for weapon systems. Work with designers and testers to prove out concepts. Assess design viability using finite element analysis (FEA). What We Offer: The opportunity to work on complex and challenging problems in a collaborative team environment. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, plus 4 years experience; or Master's Degree in the same fields plus 2 years experience or PhD. May consider candidates with fewer years experience for a more junior position. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with customers and colleagues. Able to work well within a team and independently. Able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in structural analysis and FEA. Experience with ABAQUS, HyperWorks and/or Matlab. Experience with MatLab. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
