Touro University California invites applications for the faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of our new Radiologic Technology Program. The successful candidate will be required to hold a bachelor's degree and be registered by the ARRT and/or CDPH-RHB in Diagnostic Radiography. The position requires didactic teaching (lecture and lab), mentorship, precepting, exam proctoring, interdisciplinary education, and participating in academic and service responsibilities at the College and University. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work with, educate, and mentor our future radiographers on our Vallejo campus, located on Mare Island in the beautiful Bay Area. Responsibilities

Development and delivery of a portion of the curriculum, including exam item writing and proctoring Prepares for and teaches courses every semester Develops an assessment plan to ensure course effectiveness Mentorship of Touro University Rad Tech students Plan and conduct academic advisement sessions Participate in admissions process Participate in advisory board meetings Provide service on College and University committees Attend and participate in departmental meetings Participate in continuing education activities Perform other faculty duties as appropriate and determined by the program director or dean Contribute to new knowledge through research activities, presentations, publications, potentially obtaining grants and/or contracts, clinical trials, and other scholarly work Provide reports and other documents as requested by the program director or dean Qualifications

Applicant should be committed to the support and development of the next generation of enthusiastic radiologic Technologists. This would include (but not necessarily limited to) developing and implementing course curriculum and functioning as instructional leader for the Rad Tech program. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. Certified by CDPH-RHB and/or ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered radiologic technologist. Teaching experience preferred Strong commitment to the professional development of diagnostic radiography. Research experience, or interest, preferred Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills Active participation in professional societies such as the ASRT, preferred.
