An employee in this position is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the summer camp program, as well as the summer camp leaders. This employee will also assist with planning, organizing and implementing summer camp activities. This employee works under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Program Supervisor. Examples of Duties: Opens and/or closes the camp program each day, Monday to Friday. Interacts directly with parents/guardians as necessary. Keeps accurate records of attendance, accidents, incidents, disciplinary actions and prepares reports when needed. Assists in planning daily activities and leading events or programs. Ensures proper implementation of the discipline policy. Maintains a clean, safe, enjoyable environment for the summer camp participants. Acts as a mentor and role model for the summer camp participants and camp leaders. Maintains effective relationships with other employees and the general public. Typical Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED, or willing to be trained. Pass a comprehensive background check. Completed Concussion training prior to employment. Completed Lindsay's Law training prior to employment. The City of Oxford is an equal opportunity employer.
