Submarine Training Instructor/Engineer
Amentum is seeking a talented and experienced
Submarine Training Instructor/Engineer
to support the PEO Undersea Warfare Systems Training Directorate (UWS TR) program office with professional support services in the Engineering and training areas associated with the Team Submarine Combat Systems (TSCS) contract. The TSCS contract provides PEO UWS TR program office support with Electronic Support (ES)/Electronic Warfare (EW) and shore-based submarine team trainers. Compensation: The annual starting salary for this position is between $85,000-$155,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Responsibilities:
Provide expert level support in the basics of ES/EW to include theories, equipment, signal analysis, electromagnetic spectrum and operations. Leverage their previous experience to ensure fleet personnel are trained on force doctrine, guidance and warfighting tactics. Provide tactical ES/EW System Matter Expert (SME) support for submarine Intermediate Pre-Deployment Training (IPDT)/Advanced PDT and Pre-Patrol training. Attend conferences and meetings as needed, assist with curriculum development input, in addition to acting as a SME to ensure quality of training, equipment readiness, material and instruction to the Fleet. This position may require occasional travel. Minimum Qualifications:
Clearance:
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance. Education:
HS diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience working with submarine ES/EW Systems. Knowledge in the operations, employment, and limitations of submarine ES/EW trainers. Experience with Navy/NAVSEA programs and associated ES/EW and Electronic Support Measures (ESM) systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to support occasional travel. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Naval Instructor, Officer Classification or civilian equivalent is desired. Certified Master Training Specialist (MTS). Experience with Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainers (BEWT) and Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) systems. Familiarity with different Advanced Processor Build (APB)/Technical Insertion (TI) variants for Submarine ES/EW systems. Knowledge of DoD 5000 requirements. Qualified trainer operator at any Submarine Learning Center (SLC) site or Surface Warfare Training site. Bachelor's degree in a Technical Field. Active US Government Top Secret/SCI clearance.
