Senior Designer

The Senior Designer is responsible for the creation, design and execution of exceptional design that is on-brand and based on direction from the Associate Creative Director and Art Directors. Develops engaging and innovative packaging design solutions based on brand strategies that delivers effective design which promotes brand equity and helps ensure premium product positioning in the marketplace. Assists Associate Creative Director and Art Directors in any needed project capacity. Works directly with internal and external clients and vendors. Applies problem-solving efforts and has the ability to quickly switch priorities to meet changing deadline conditions. Under the supervision of the Associate Creative Director, leads and contributes to the design and development of new and refined brand package design, primary and secondary, brand identity projects, such as Brandworld's and guidelines. Works in close collaboration with the Associate Creative Director and Art Directors and Brand clients, Design team and external agencies/vendors to develop world-class design across a range of packaging design and all accompanying material. Actively seeks design critique, direction, and approval from Associate Creative Directors and Art Directors on all brand-related projects and works collaboratively with all Design team members. Mentors and provides guidance to Design Interns, Freelancers, and other Design team members. Delivers materials in a timely manner meeting requested deadlines, with extremely quick demands a normal occurrence. Responsible for preparing files for print, working directly with Associate Creative Director and Art Directors and other Design team members to ensure completeness and correctness of files supplied to vendors for printing. Maintains open communication lines with clients, maintaining status updates in project request system and uploading art to digital asset management system. Stays abreast of new design-related technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design plus 5-7 years of experience in design agency or corporate in-house design department concentrating in Advertising, Graphic Design, Web Design, or a combination or equivalent education/experience. Experience in Macintosh platform applications for print and packaging, including demonstrated skill in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience providing art for use in PowerPoint and web-based solutions. Demonstrated experience and ability to execute and follow through on assignments to meet routine and special/changing deadlines and schedules. Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities

with emphasis on creative collaboration and client servicing. Experience working with people at all organizational levels. Experience using organizational, time management, and project management skills

both in maintaining own workload, and assisting in design projects primarily handled by other members of the Design team. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively. High attention to detail. Ability to work flexible schedule as needed.
