Assistant Business And Facilities Officer
The Iowa Board of Regents, which governs the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa, is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Assistant Business and Facilities Officer. This position plays a critical role in providing strategic leadership and financial oversight to support the Board's mission, goals, and capital initiatives across Iowa's public universities. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as architecture, engineering, construction engineering, or construction management. Considerable experience in positions requiring a high degree of analytical ability. Knowledge and understanding of Iowa Board of Regents capital project policies and procedures is highly desirable. Preferred Qualification: Master's degree Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership in capital planning, financial analysis, and facilities oversight across Regent institutions. Prepare and present reports and recommendations on institutional capital project budgets and financing plans. Represent the staff on the Board's Property and Facilities Committee and prepare the agenda and docket for the Committee. Review and/or prepare responses to legislative inquiries, and required reports to the Governor, General Assembly, and Board committees. Serve as a liaison between the Board Office and institutions on facilities and business matters. Assist the Chief Business Officer as needed on matters related to budgets, financial reporting, and transaction approval. Monitor relevant legislative and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practice alignment. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position is based in Urbandale, Iowa. Reports directly to the Executive Director of the Iowa Board of Regents.
