Animal Services Office Specialist I
The County of Yolo is recruiting for one (1) regular, full-time position in the class of Animal Services Office Specialist I at the Department of Community Services. Under supervision, the Animal Services Office Specialist I performs a wide variety of specialized administrative and clerical office duties requiring working knowledge of program operations within the Animal Services division. The ideal candidate for this position is a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This candidate brings administrative and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone. A successful Animal Services Office Specialist I is a team player who values collaboration, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates empathy and patience when working with the public, often in emotionally charged situations. Note: The Animal Services Office Specialist I/II is a single class with two salary levels, and positions in this class are flexibly staffed. The Animal Services Office Specialist I is the entry level in this class series. Incumbents may advance to the higher level after demonstrating the ability to perform the full journey level duties of the class, which generally requires twelve months of experience at level I. Experience: One (1) year of full-time clerical, customer service or related experience working with animals.
