The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, but storms can occur outside this window. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, you may be assigned to an Emergency Team. There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or to be part of the relief team. Details regarding pay during storm impacts will be provided as needed. By signing your travel contract, you agree to this expectation and will report as assigned by your unit manager during a storm event. You should not apply if you are not comfortable with these conditions. You must be able to function independently, performing all skills related to the Cath Lab. You should be a team player who prioritizes patient care. You must be comfortable sharing knowledge and assisting others. Shifts may extend to 8-10 hours, including on-call shifts for after-hours, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Experience in handling a daily average census of 6 patients is expected. Weekend coverage is typically required every other weekend. Call requirements are usually 3 times per week. References will need to be provided for clearance to start the contract.
