Systems Administrator, Labs
The Systems Administrator, Labs is expected to be able to: Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. Required qualifications: Active Top Secret Clearance with a CI Poly BS, 8-10 years experience; MS, 6-8 years experience; PhD, 3-5 years experience The Systems Administrator, Labs maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. The work environment is located in Aurora, Colorado and varies. The work schedule is normal work hours constituting on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding breaks and meal periods. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. Amount of travel: 20%. Physical demands include the ability to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. U.S. Citizenship is required. Clearance requirement: TS/SCI, CI Poly. Wage information: Target salary range: $142,000.00-160,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.
