Electrician II
1st Shift, M-F
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Job Summary: A successful candidate will be required to assist and when possible work solo on the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the plant including motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches, cables and conduits, communicating, recording and alarm systems under the guidance of a Level 1 Electrician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will be required to assist and when possible work solo on the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the plant including motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches, cables and conduits, communicating, recording and alarm systems under the guidance of a Level 1 Electrician Use various types of testing equipment to locate and correct malfunctions. Work on energized circuits when required (Under NFPA Safety Guidelines) May make functional tests to determine that the electricity powered or electrically controlled machines or equipment operate properly after installation or repair Determine horsepower requirements, line loads, material requirements, etc. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Performs preventative maintenance tasking on all electrical utilities and equipment. May be assigned to specialized work within the classification Will be assisted by Level 1 Electrician as need and have completed work verified by supervisor or Level 1 Electrician. Performs preventative maintenance tasking on all electrical utilities and equipment.
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies tools and equipment. Clean and organize shop area. Maintain inventory of spare parts and material. Maintain tools and equipment for maintenance work. Complete Safety Training requirements
Qualifications: EducationHS Diploma/ Successfully enrolled in and/or completed accredited technical school. Business Experience One to Three (3) years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses/CertificationsValid Drivers License Achieved Fork truck and aerial lift equipment certification or ability to obtain. Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability log work orders. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization. Technical Qualifications & SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions to practical situations, and read a tape measure. Must be able to utilize mobile communication devices (ie: iPad, Phone, and email) Familiar with Lock Out Tag Out procedures Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, OHMS Law, and geometry.Training and certified to operate a fork truck and aerial lift preferredAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
