Job Title: Cytotechnologist
Location: Melville, NY
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Days (Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine cytological specimens under a microscope to detect abnormalities, including cancer, infections, and other diseases.
Work closely with pathologists to provide accurate diagnoses and assist in clinical decision-making.
Review and document cytological findings and maintain records in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in cytology and assist in implementing best practices in the lab.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Cytotechnologist certification is required.
Education: Bachelors degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
Previous experience in cytology, with a focus on screening and preparing samples.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
