Hybrid Position Audubon, PA Duration: 24 Months Local Candidates Preferred Current Work Authorization Without Sponsorship Must Be In Hand For The Duration Of The Contract To Be Considered Our client sits at the heart of the nation's energy transformation. As electricity demand surges, our transmission system is undergoing major upgrades to remain reliable and resilient. The grid is also adapting to a rapidly changing generation mix, with more renewable energy sources and evolving federal and state policies reshaping how electricity is produced and delivered. These changes bring novel engineering challenges and opportunities to innovate, making this one of the most exciting times to join our team. The Transmission Service Engineer/Analyst will support various activities of the department which include performing power system studies, building power system models, analyzing requests for Transmission Service, calculating Available Transfer Capability (ATC) and the application of interchange schedule validation protocols. Our work is essential to ensure reliable operations across a complex and ever-changing grid. The candidate will support projects to improve the Transmission Service Department (TSD) business processes and systems and will monitor and maintain TSD compliance to applicable reliability and business practice standards. The candidate will join a collaborative team working on novel power systems engineering challenges and will provide support to internal/external Transmission Service customers, industry groups, stakeholders, and Operations, Markets and Planning personnel while also serving as a direct contributor to projects impacting wholesale electricity markets, regional planning process, and real-time system operations. This is a hybrid position and requires the candidate to report to campus at least 2-3 days/week. Position Highlights: Multi-tasking and cross-divisional teamwork will be a key component of this position Planning, organizing, issue recognition and problem solving will be a key component of this position Powerflow experience using PSS/E, MUST, TARA or equivalent BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
