As an Electromagnetic Engineering Effects (E3) Engineer Sr., you will support the System Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines Organization within Strategic Reentry Programs (SRP) in one or more of the following areas: Primary role will be to perform as lead E3 engineer on critical programs and ensure products meet customer requirements in given timelines, deliver CDRLs, and perform EMI testing and EMI analyses per needs of programs Apply and grow your electromagnetic engineering skills to enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems derived requirements and solutions Perform and support functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Lead and perform requirements sell-off through: compiling, organizing, performing, evaluating and documenting completed compliance verification process which assesses design performance and operational electromagnetic issues at both the package and system levels Mentor junior engineers in E3 technical topics Join our E3 Engineering team. Be partnered and mentored by senior experts, while supporting multiple programs. Basic Qualifications: Working knowledge and conversant with MIL-STD-461/464 requirements and the applicable test methods Advanced knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference / Compatibility (EMI/EMC) theory and ability to apply it to modeling and analyses Previous experience generating E3 CDRLs to include control plans, EMI/EMC testing, test procedures, and test reports, or equivalent Ability and willingness to work on-site Security Clearance / Work Authorization: To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen Although not required to start, applicants must be eligible to obtain a US government issued Secret security clearance Desired Skills: Experience with satellite and/or missile system and/or box level test and analysis (or equivalent) MATLAB, Excel, CST/EMA3D (3-D modeling software tool), and PSPICE or equivalent experience Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proactive and self-starter, demonstrated teamwork and leadership Willingness to mentor, independent thinker, and team-player This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
