Reporting to the Site Leader, the Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing Manufacturing and Operations activities, as well as developing and optimizing processes, and will be fully on site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, US. In this role, a typical day will look like: Allocate and manage production and distribution resources to achieve daily plans Coach, mentor, support team development plans Lead ramp-up of new operating capabilities (e.g., manufacturing) Drive VES Fundamentals and culture into the Manufacturing & Operations team Identify and share standard methodologies across the manufacturing organization Leads projects that arise from the above continuous improvement approach Develops and guides the team to build a learning organization that organizes processes as efficiently and as optimally as possible The essential requirements of the job include: Higher education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.). Preferred majors include Management and Production Engineering or other Engineering/Technical studies. 3-4 years of proven experience within Lean Management (Toyota Production System). Proven deep knowledge especially in tools like 5S, Standard work, Daily Management, are required. 3-4 years of meaningful experience from manufacturing industry in a similar role in a production area in any branch Extensive Gemba based continuous improvement experience based on Lean tools. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
