Must have IBCLC, IL RN license and BSN or higher education. The Lactation Consultant RN reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities: A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who participates and assists in evaluating and improving nursing care of breast-feeding patients. Consults with nursing, medical staff and other disciplines to achieve this goal. Teaches and demonstrates specific nursing care techniques related to the breast-feeding patient. Assists in the development of nursing care procedures for the breast-feeding patient. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Qualifications
