Work within the Private Markets business unit of the State Street Alternative Investment Services Group. We are a team of dedicated accounting, operations, and loans professionals who are passionate about delivering financial reporting and day-to-day accounting and operations and administrative support to premier alternatives clients. As an Associate 2 you will be responsible for the daily processing, recordkeeping, reconciliation, preparation, analysis and reporting for global private market's funds and affiliated entities The team you will be joining is a part of International Fund Services (IFS), acquired by State Street in July 2002. IFS, also known as Alternative Investment Solutions is a recognized industry-leading provider of fund accounting, fund administration and risk services to hedge funds and private equity funds. These services are fully integrated to provide complete end-to-end solutions that span the front-, middle- and back-office requirements of institutional investors. What you will be responsible for: Maintaining the general ledger for various fund entities Preparing supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules and capital account allocations Preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures Analytical review of monthly/quarterly investment and fund performance data Reviewing and/or preparing of capital calls, distributions and bank reconciliations Preparing management, annual and incentive fee calculations Preparing various client correspondences Calculating waterfalls and capital account allocations Special projects as requested Daily processing Daily reconciliations Broadly Syndicated and Private Loan operations What we value: Ensuring compliance with legal documents Maintaining working relationship with all client contacts, auditors, tax, lawyers and banking personnel Ability to work with high attention to detail, proactively in a team and within a dynamic environment. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal clients and colleagues. Ability to communicate effectively and timely with external counterparties. Supporting senior colleague's and following/completing their requests. Excellent organization and time management skills with the flexibility to multitask prescheduled activities and meet deadlines Exceptional time management Education & Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management Strong financial accounting knowledge and proficiency Strong Bank Loans knowledge Experience leading verbal and written communications at senior levels with internal and external clients Excellent administrative and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and to work efficiently to meet client deliverables. Possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm and the team. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Exceptional time management skills Salary Range: $41,600 - $66,560 Annual It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
