Seasonal Food & Beverage Attendant

This role will be located in Discovery Land Company's Hamptons locations: The Hills in East Quogue, New York. The Hills is seeking Seasonal Food & Beverage Attendants for our signature Comfort Stations to join the Food & Beverage Service Department. This role will be available June to October 2025. The Comfort Station is an exciting signature food and beverage outlet found at all Discovery club environments. These grab-and-go snack areas are found on the golf course and among our outdoor activity areas creating unique and delicious member experiences. Focused on family and FUN, they offer specialty items (seasonal surprises) and regular features (PB&J under glass). Our Food & Beverage Attendant will open and close their assigned comfort stations on a daily basis. Responsibilities include keeping assigned outlet stations neat, organized, and stocked with various snacks, candies, and beverages. Additional duties may include simple food preparation, beverage pouring and serving of golf course outlet menu items. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Key Responsibilities
Ensure comfort stations are in compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations at all times. Maintain proper temperature control of food and beverage items; take care with handling of food and perform daily stocking and re-stocking of all items for comfort stations throughout the day. Maintain cleanliness of the comfort station throughout the day with light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters, and garbage disposal, and monitor expiration of perishable items. Keep the appearance of the comfort station consistent throughout the day, report any maintenance and/or safety issues promptly to the Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor, Food and Beverage Manager, or Director of Food and Beverage. Conduct the inventory of all comfort station items as requested. Ensure members' golf carts are parked in a uniform order and the cart path is accessible to other players driving by. Restock members' carts with water or ice and any other items, as requested. Promptly respond to all guest/member requests. Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accurately and consistent with the department's standard operating procedures. Attend department meetings and training as requested. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum previous experience of three (3) months food service or guest service experience, preferably at a fast paced, high-end restaurant, club, or resort. Knowledge of local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate. Knowledge of wines and beverages preferred but not required. Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service. Additional Requirements
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
