Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist
As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-13, you will serve as the Chief of the division and to plan, organize, direct, develop, monitor, control, analyze and coordinate the installation logistics services support operations of five supply activities: Property Management Branch, Material Management Branch, Installation Transportation Branch, Storage and Distribution Branch and Central Issue Facility Branch Ammunition Supply Point operations, SARSS operations, and Cannibalization Point operations, in order to provide installation level supply support to ARNG units and activities within the state. Requirements: National Guard membership is required. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must be able to obtain the appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment. Qualifications: Military Grades: Officer only General Experience: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Experience in administrative, technical, complex clerical, or comparable in nature the organization that provides a full range of logistical support to serviced organizations throughout the state. Experience participating in conferences deemed necessary to fulfill the assigned duties of the office, such as, Surface Deployment and Distribution Command conferences, JTF Civil Support and JTF NCR Logistics conferences, NGB Logistics Management Seminar, First Army Resourcing Conferences, NGB New Equipment Fielding Conferences, Executive Advisory Group for Logistics Excellence conferences/workshops, USPFO Workshops. Experience being responsible for providing direction and supervision over work performed in subordinate units at the GS-09 level which best characterizes the nature of the basic, mission oriented, non-supervisory work performed in the organization. Experience providing supervision and oversight that requires coordination, integration, or consolidation of administrative, technical, or complex technician or other support work comparable to the GS-09. Education requirements - Not applicable for this position.
