Accreditation Nurse

A Bachelors-prepared registered nurse responsible for obtaining and maintaining accreditation/recognition for Hendrick Medical Center's education programs; including but not limited to; Continuing Medical Education (CME); Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing; presenting and/or coordinating educational activities; adhering to governing agencies' guidelines and mandates; and acting as a resource and liaison to the community; medical staff; nursing units and ancillary departments at HMC. Minimum Education Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) with specialty certification or Masters in the Science of Nursing (MSN) Minimum Work Experience 2 Year Clinical Experience Required Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Texas American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 6 months of hire to department If BSN; specialty certification required Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and services. Develops continuing educational activities in a professional manner according to criteria required by governing agencies with a foundation on current standards of care and adult learning principles. Organizes and complete educational records according to facility and governing agency requirements. Demonstrates the ability to function as an effective team member within the department and throughout the facility.
