The City of Hampton's Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department is seeking a Tree Trimmer to perform skilled work in pruning, felling, and removing trees throughout the city. Minimum Qualifications: One (1) years of full-time equivalent experience in tree maintenance and/or grounds maintenance to include some experience or on the job training in the operation of related equipment and tools or closely related experience. High school graduation or GED preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position. Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria. Must possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or may possess a Commercial Driver's License instruction permit upon application and obtain the CDL within 90 days of employment. This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy.
