Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI is hiring a Project Manager to join our Traffic Engineering team in Duluth, GA. Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work. Prepare traffic engineering capacity analysis, knowledgeable with safety assessment, and identify intersection operational improvements. Design and prepare construction drawings for traffic projects, including signals and ITS. Apply a broad knowledge and good understanding of principles and practices of traffic engineering. Solve traffic and engineering problems effectively, communicate clearly, and produce high-quality technical writing. Demonstrate reliability, commitment to projects, initiative, and desire to advance knowledge of traffic engineering principles. Effectively manage tasks and projects, including financial and administrative duties. Effectively communicate directly with clients. Supervise staff. Required Experience: Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, PTV Vistro/Vissim, and/or HCS software is preferred. Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards. Experience with Microstation. Experience with intersection and roadway concept development. Georgia DOT experience with standards and design process is a plus. Experience preparing traffic impact studies. Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain a PE within one year is required. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 - 12 years of professional experience. Appropriate professional certification preferred. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
