Senior Configuration Manager
This position is subject to change as needed to meet program or company requirements. V2X builds smart solutions to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. As a Senior Configuration Manager, you will serve as the technical lead responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining configuration management processes. This role ensures the integrity, traceability, and control of critical infrastructure systems including servers, network devices, storage solutions, power systems, and environmental controls. The Senior Configuration Manager provides subject matter expertise in aligning CM practices with ITIL and DoD standards. Position may be located at Cheyenne Mountain SFS, Peterson SFB, and/or Schriever SFB. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. Major Job Activities: Experience managing a team that develops, implements, and maintains a Configuration Management Plan and Configuration Management Audit Plan to address processes, tools, and infrastructure to support requirements implementation. Accurately maintains and updates all configuration files for the entirety of the PoP, including the original source and a digital twin. Represents the configuration management function in all IPT Leadership briefings. For GFP, IAW AFMAN 17-1203, uses the DAF bases currently approved by APSR, DPAS, and CMDB until cutover to the modernized network. While operating Legacy Networks, complies with DAF configuration and change management policies. Supports lead engineers in configuration management of all architectural and design documents to reflect the present configuration and layouts. Maintains library documentation repository and other configuration control systems. Ensures proper access control to managed documents, configurations. Audits configurations. Supports configuration management of project documentation on customer portal. Material & Equipment Directly Used: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Working Environment: Office environment with potential to support austere locations. Physical Activities: Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs. Qualifications: Education / Certifications: Management or technical BA / BS Degree; Or High School diploma or associate degree. Experience / Skills: 7 years with BA / BS degree; Or Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Configuration Manager for large, complex programs / systems with a High School or associate degree. Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance. Skills & Technology Used: Proven track record managing large, complex programs as a Configuration Manager. Excellent proven soft skills, such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, to emphasize the managerial aspect of the role. Experience working with DoD or USG programs.
