Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel is a member of the Calvin Klein Global and Tommy Hilfiger North America Advertising and Marketing team within PVH Legal. The position is responsible for advising, counselling and supporting the marketing, public relations, product development and procurement teams on a wide range of intellectual property matters related to marketing, media and advertising including content clearance and usage issues, social media posting requirements and risk assessments as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating talent/consultant/social media influencer contracts, collaboration, sponsorship and release agreements, sales and product distribution agreements and other documentation and agreements primarily in support of the advertising, marketing, PR and procurement teams of Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and PVH. The Legal Counsel is also responsible for advising on digital matters as well as working with outside counsel on certain issues including music licensing, SAG-AFTRA and certain other media and marketing related matters and, from time to time, litigation support. What You'll Do: Provide advice and counselling for the advertising, marketing, PR and procurement teams Provide guidance on rights of publicity, fair use, content clearances, and risk assessments. Independently review, draft, revise, negotiate, and advise on various related contracts and agreements. Draft and update memoranda and agreements for fashion shows, advertising campaigns, and major events. Work closely with advertising and marketing teams to implement form agreements. Collaborate with Mr. Tommy Hilfiger's personal counsel on personal appearance agreements. Negotiate product placement agreements for third- party productions. Assess data security and privacy risks for new vendors and initiatives. Engage with outside counsel for niche marketing and contract matters. Manage licenses and reporting for music rights organizations.
