As Operations Controller, you will play a key role in the company's daily operations, leading all aspects of operational accounting, including financial oversight of our US manufacturing plants. This is a transformational role that will drive the development, refinement, implementation, and enforcement of policies and procedures to improve the overall operation, effectiveness, and financial condition of the company. This role will report to the Vice President of Finance and IT and will manage the Operational Finance team (3 direct reports). This is a hybrid role based out of Novi, MI. Principal Functional Responsibilities:

Full-scale transformation of plant controllership structure, processes and implementation of initiatives that will drive transparency and growth opportunities Direct the organization's accounting functions. Areas of focus include: Operational Accounting Plant Financial Control Cost Accounting Develop and support monthly forecasting, the annual operating plan, plant performance, budgeting systems, and the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior management Train and manage the Operational Finance staff Oversee month end operational close activities and business partner with operations and supply chain lead to explain results, trends and identify actions. Lead monthly review of Operations & Supply Chain metrics including headcount, overtime, production output, productivity, yields, Material costs, and purchase price variance (PPV) Collaborate cross-functionally on the development of Standard Cost calculations and files. Analyze core accounts and key performance indicators. Be a thought leader and provide insights on achievement of improved cost and operational efficiencies. Evaluate and recommend changes in the company's cost structure, as appropriate. Perform in-depth analysis on manufacturing variances and PPV. Drive finance-side evaluations for make vs buy analysis. Compile and analyze financial reports that indicate trends, variances, inventories etc. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business CPA or MBA required 7+ years of related controller experience 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing operations 5+ years in a management role. Demonstrated progressive financial experience in a manufacturing background Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP and internal controls Preferred Qualifications:

Big 4 experience Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management Competencies:

Strong ability to provide business insights through analytical skills and financial modeling Solid experience with IT systems implementation and continuous improvement Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced excel skills for preparing reports, worksheets, charts, and procedures Ability to present to a group of employees, managers, or executives Relationship-building and influence skills with a high degree of diplomacy Demonstrate keen attention to detail and strong follow-through Experienced with process development and improvement Proactive team player who can self-initiate Strong work ethic with a results-driven "get-it-done" attitude Excellent analytical, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
