The Senior Driver Examiner position provides training and support for the Customer Service Representative 2 position. You will administers skills tests and evaluates driving skills to include medical, bioptic, and other special and complaint drives. This position will support all BMV Regions in the State of Indiana. Salary Statement: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $37,648.00. A Day in the Life

The essential functions of this role are as follows: The primary function of the SDE is to train and evaluate the CSRs within a prescribed area. The SDE must possess excellent mentoring and coaching skills. Create and maintain all training processes, conduct training and coaching sessions, and offer additional support and training to all CSRs within their area. Administer skills tests and evaluate driving skills for specific circumstances such as: medical/special drive tests, courtesy drives, restricted radius drive tests, and third skills tests. Review & revise skills test routes. Conduct meetings for CSR II updates and skills test information. Assist with investigations of complaints or inquiries regarding a skills test. Visit branches to check on any skills test or CSR concerns and help keep CSRs updated on any new information. Oversees and monitors all requirements of AAMVA certification and recertification. You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE). Two (2) years of Customer Service Representative experience. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have the ability to train and coach. The SDE must have extensive knowledge of the licensing requirements. Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. You must satisfy the following requirement to continue employment: Gain and maintain the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) certification.
