Candidates applying to this position must live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska metro. This position allows remote flexibility but will require the team to come to the office as needed. The Accountant II role will perform mid-level to complex professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records. This role will also be a key player in the analysis of ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, bank account reconciliation. This role will perform ledger maintenance and analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, fund reconciliation and posting. Analyzing complex financial and operating data and preparing management reports, financial statements, and projections is key to the success in this role. What you'll do:

Performs general or cost accounting activities. Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions. Drafts segments of statements and financial reports. Begins to handle assignments & projects involving analysis of financial data on a regular basis. Ability to apply information gathered during research of financial principles to daily assignments. Ensures compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations. Partner with external and internal auditors to complete audits. Specifics of job content will vary from preparing journal entries and checking supporting entries, to carrying out well-defined steps in cost accounting analysis. To be considered for this position, you must have:

Bachelor's degree + 2 years' experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
