Adult Congenital Cardiologist Position
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics is seeking an adult congenital cardiologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice primarily in Morgantown, West Virginia. The successful candidate will join our growing Division of Pediatric Cardiology and will support our patient population on the Children's Hospital campus and throughout the state through our robust pediatric cardiology outreach program that includes outreach clinics with diagnostic testing. We currently have specialists in the areas of fetal cardiology, general pediatric cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, noninvasive and invasive electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, and preventative cardiology. Duties: The successful candidate will oversee and supervise the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program and practice general Pediatric Cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed specialty residency program, as well as specialty fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board Eligible/certified in General Pediatrics and/or Internal Medicine along with Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Adult Cardiology and Board Eligible/certified in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor Rank, a demonstrated track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required.
