System Power And Performance Architect

As a System Power And Performance Architect at Reality Labs, you will lead system level power and performance modeling and requirement definition on upcoming AR products. Our team works on systems skills and architecture convergence on complex consumer electronics products. We also support SoC evaluation, computer vision and machine learning algorithms, and SW/FW including collaboration with experts in different fields to make architectural tradeoffs. Our team thrives in ambiguity, and we map trade spaces, drive a concept into a prototype, and envision how a prototype could transition into a high-volume consumer product. Responsibilities

Own system power consumption modeling, use case data flow and latency analysis Define system power and latency requirements for subsystem teams and drive cross-functional workstream prioritization Work with product management and engineering teams across Hardware, Software, and Firmware and connect the E2E technical stack and determine product feature sets Communicate technology and product strategy effectively to both internal and external stakeholders Help define long-term technology roadmap and guide management and partner teams on technology investments Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of product experience in electrical, computer engineering, or equivalent Experience modeling system power and, using those models, inform trade-offs against key architectural decisions Experience with system architecture across electrical, firmware, software, audio, silicon, and thermal engineering Communication experience working with Product Managers and other hardware/software cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AR/MR or systems aimed at capturing/processing/delivering audio visual, IMU or other positional data streams Understanding of memory subsystems including mass storage and filesystem as well as volatile memory and memory management and their impacts on overall system performance Working knowledge across the following areas with experience in at least one: Imaging and audio interfaces, optical, sensors, modules, ISP and algorithm fundamental. Communications: network impacts on latency, throughput and Jitter, VoIP, video communications Computer vision and machine learning Experience creating system models to analyze system compute, latency and communication interface bandwidths $170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
