Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA has an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer supporting our Mission Solutions Group at the Valley Forge base. In this role you will support the Space Systems Company Environment, Safety and Health department (ESH) in the on-going management and enhancement of ESH programs and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include: Develop, administer, implement and maintain environmental, Safety & Health programs. Manage elements of air quality, hazardous materials permits, plans and reports. Review and analyze environmental documents issued by federal, state and local agencies. Evaluate environmental impact of air and chemical programs on company operations and develop compliance strategies. Manage elements of pollution prevention and sustainability activities. Oversee preparation of environmental impact reports. Evaluate proposed regulations. Interact with federal, state, and local regulators. Assist with ESH program assessments, mishap investigations, determine and manage corrective actions. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment. Assist with generating ESH program documents. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and experience in ESH subject areas. Reporting and permitting hazardous materials management and compliance experience. Environmental management system experience. Ability to work on-call and varied shifts on occasion and may be required to travel infrequently. Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance and US citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Professional ESH experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong written and communication skills. Strengths in customer service and cooperative teaming. Professional Environmental Certification or environmental science degree/safety degree.
