Safety Fleet Supervisor

The Safety Fleet Supervisor is a front-line manager responsible for providing training direction and safety coaching to a fleet of long-haul drivers with the goal of reducing overall risk. Work is accomplished in tandem with Fleet Managers and other leadership on the Operations floor, collaboratively focusing on safety related items (preventable accidents, citizen complaints, hard braking events, tickets, etc.) and compliance matters regarding specific drivers. Key Responsibilities:

Directly influencing the safety behavior, driving performance and knowledge base of your fleet Reviewing contributing factors to accidents and violations to determine focus areas for remediation, prevention, and risk management Addressing trending problem areas with timely coaching and intervention Responding to questions regarding policies, procedures, best practices, FMCSR/CSA interpretations, etc. Providing weather updates to drivers and office associates Setting up drug and alcohol screening as necessary Regular and ad-hoc reporting Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: In-depth working knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations Preferred Qualifications: Highly organized and communicative - must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally Ability to perform in an environment with ambiguous situations, rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines Proven record of making well-informed decisions in both routine and emergency situations High degree of initiative and independent execution.
