Project Manager
In MACOM's MMIC Business Unit we design MMICs and IMAs for cellular, aerospace & defense, and other wireless applications. The Program/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a program/project life cycle from initiation to closure, which may include front-end phases of proposal writing (that includes technical volumes, cost volume, and management volumes), development, manufacturing, test, deployments, and repairs, service, returns. Responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to determine scope, goals, budget, and risks. They are responsible for overseeing, monitoring, reporting, administering, and documenting commitments to ensure project objectives and schedules are met. Key Responsibilities: Primary POC with Customer, Face of Company Project Plan Development (IMS & WBS) Project Coordination and Managing Project Interdependencies Performance Monitoring & Metric Reporting Program/Project Milestones are met Stakeholder Communications, Negotiations, and Problem-Solving Managing Budgets & Resources Program Document Management Risk Management Contract Management Product Life Cycle Management Collaborative Team Task Management Key Competencies & Skills Required: Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Track record of driving projects from initiation through project closeout. Experience with PLM, SAP, and documentation control. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Expert knowledge of industry processes, systems, procedures, and risks related to a project. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Ability to collaborate effectively across the MACOM organization as well as to customers. Fluent in spoken and written English. Required Qualifications & Experience: AS in Engineering or Manufacturing or 10 years' experience; Candidates with degrees in business (BBA, BS in Management, MBA with non-technical undergraduate degree) with relevant experience may be considered. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. CAPM/PMP or similar certification a plus. 5+ years of experience across different functions within an organization/project management. Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork.
