Prairie View A&M University School Of Architecture Commensurate Prairie View, Texas Faculty This non-tenure track position will be teach lab/studio courses in Digital Media Arts. Responsibilities: Primarily teach lab/studio courses in the Digital Media Arts program. Classes can include: Drawing, Design II (3D), Fundamentals of Digital Media, Fundamentals of Interactive Media, Interactive Media, Problems in Media Arts I and II, Advanced Interactive Media, Motion Graphics, Design Practice, and others as needed. Assist Director of the Art Program with curriculum development, revision, program assessment and advisement and other serving duties as needed. Can include developing new elective courses in Digital Media Arts based on applicant's expertise and serving on department, college, university-level committees and taskforce. Engage in scholarly, research, artistic, and/or professional production. Required Education and Experience: Studio Art/Digital Art/Graphic Art-related undergraduate degree. MFA in Game Design, Animation or related field. One to three years of professional experience in game industries, animation, VFX or related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience with game development tools: Unreal, Unity, and/or Houdini; experience with software applications: Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Photoshop, Illustrator, Toon Boom Harmony, and other related 2D/3D concept art software. Must be engaging and focused on student success. Ability to teach students from all cultural and social backgrounds. Ability to deliver an effective learning environment for students with various learning abilities.
