Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Negotiable Rockledge, FL Full-Time Brevard County Public Safety Services Office 8/3/2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada) Position Overview
Brevard County is an EEO and Veteran's Preference employer. Full Time Open Until Filled. This position is appointive service. $345,000 annually. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Rockledge/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work in carrying out the management and forensic functions of the Medical Examiner's Office, which includes providing proper investigations of deaths, determining accurate cause and manner of death, and evaluating current and anticipated inquiries for the County. Requirements
Must be certified as a Pathologist by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Forensic Pathology and possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Florida, as required by the Florida Department of Professional Regulations and have five years of professional experience as an Associate and/or Deputy Medical Examiner. Special Requirements: Must be appointed by the Governor of Florida and remain in good standing with the Governor and the Medical Examiner's Commission. Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments. Requires ability to tolerate exposure to inclement weather, chemicals, dust, poor ventilation, foul odors, fumes and fluids of human remains. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed. Benefits
