Friday, 7:30am

Diagnostic Imaging Radiology Clinical Instructor Job Responsibilities: Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to Radiology Students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions. Acts as a liaison between Inova Health System's Hospital Radiology Services and administrative program personnel by fostering effective and efficient educational opportunities. Takes ownership of imaging QC/QA and, in conjunction with administrative program personnel, PI for students necessitated by clinical performance. Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Orients, educates and develops Student Radiologic Technologists to ensure competencies and abilities to fulfill specified responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with a valid certification. Licensure: Must be certified by at least one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Experience: Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as an educator, instructor or mentor.
