Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience Full Time Schedule: 40 hours per week, some weekends as needed. Flexible schedule! OPI Houston (FKA Fulshear) is hiring an Academic Coordinator to lead our dynamic Life Skills team and champion exceptional client care, educational growth, and community integration. In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with clients, families, and staff to build meaningful connections and promote independence. You'll teach essential life skillssuch as communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, time management, financial literacy, and interpersonal skillsempowering clients to manage real-world responsibilities, build healthy relationships, and navigate social media appropriately. You'll also play a key role in supporting clients' educational development, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in academic or vocational settings. At OPI Houston, we empower women+ (ages 18-28) to take charge of their lives and create positive change. Our beautiful 34-acre ranch near Houston, TX, offers a variety of therapies, including cognitive-behavioral, equine-assisted, family, and individual therapy. We specialize in addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, addiction, trauma, and attachment issues. Through attachment and trauma-focused modalities, life skills development, and family systems work, we help young adults move beyond trauma and cultivate fulfilling lives. Responsibilities
Lead the life skills team, align with program strategies, oversee performance, and hold team members accountable. Train, onboard, and develop staff while ensuring coverage for classes and meetings. Manage client transitions by driving discharge plans, collaborating with treatment teams, and ensuring documentation is complete. Assist clients with transitions, including moving, packing, unpacking, and grocery shopping. Foster alumni engagement by coordinating events, connecting clients to resources, and gathering feedback. Facilitate clear communication between teams, clients, and families. Uphold professionalism, company policies, and attendance expectations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field (required) Experience working in educational settings and/or possession of relevant educational certifications (required) Proven background in life skills coaching, case management, or a related rolepreferably within healthcare, behavioral health, or social services Strong leadership and team management abilities, including experience in training, motivating, and holding team members accountable Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate events such as alumni engagement and client support initiatives Skilled in assessing client needs and delivering personalized, holistic support services Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and be authorized to work in the United States Employment is contingent upon a clean driving record, successful background check, and negative drug screening Benefits
