WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS

To maintain average set ups on the CNC machines. Have a good working knowledge of the machine tool. Required to make necessary offsets to keep parts in print tolerances. In process inspection of daily production parts. Complete all level 1 requirements prior to transferring to level II.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Essential Functions of the Job: Shall be able to perform basic blue print reading. Shall be able to use common inspection equipment: Read a micrometer, dial Vernier caliper, plug gages, test indicators, depth mics, etc. Maintain efficiency levels on assigned machines per determined goals. Maintain a high level of quality. Maintain an attendance and tardiness record within set limits of company policy. Ability to perform inspection activities and filling out the Quality Characteristic Control Report with minimal mistakes. Maintain a clean and orderly work area over the duration of your shift. Demonstrate a concern for company equipment and the proper use of it. Ability to follow all routine machine procedures. Knowledge of all MPI policies and procedures as explained in the company handbook. Ability to sign tools out of the Matrix cabinet. Ability to maintain average set ups or seek assistance to keep machines running. Understand the use of fixtures and fixture gaging. To complete the machine preventative daily maintenance. (5S) Deburr parts per the work instructions as required. Prevent part damage through proper material handling techniques. Be at your machine, ready to work at the start of your shift. Notify the shift lead person immediately if quality problems or machine issues arise. Empty chips as necessary during the shift and immediately before the end of the shift. Perform other tasks assigned by the shift lead person. Follow good safety habits and the company's safety guidelines

Non-Essential Functions of the Job: One-year minimum experience on similar machines or 200 hours of machine shop schooling or 12 months minimum MPI shop experience prior to level II consideration. Assist in other areas of the facility as needed.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING No previous machining experience necessary. Shall meet the company's "Permission to Play Values": Ethical/Integrity, Optimism, Adaptable, and Vulnerable Trust. Shall follow and promote MPI's Safety Policies and Procedures. Must be able to move and transport 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Must be able to maintain a stationary position for the entire shift. Must be able to reach above shoulders and rotate torso 60% of the shift. Must be able to work shift hours and days as assigned. Must work at an acceptable pace to meet current cycle times. Must be able to work on multiple machines as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to work in the following work environment: Moderate noise levels from machinery. Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. Breathing fumes, dust, and mist. Skin exposed to oils and cutting fluids.

Must wear personal protection equipment as required including, but not limited to, hearing protection, non-slip shoes, safety glasses. All offers are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen.
